A wanderer walked into a world colored in the shades of grey. Looking around with clear amusement radiating from his eyes, “A ghost town I see, even the sea is dead as it can be.” He whispered as he turns to face the calm waters, eliciting a small chuckle out of his lips. The sound of such soft deep laughter flutters through the dead air. Beside a tree near the sea, a pair of lifeless orbs gazes at the dead world. Her ears caught on to the lively sound, a sound so foreign in such a world. Curiosity made her head turned to where the sound came from, she sees a man standing with his back facing her. Slowly she looks away with a shake of her head, looking on to the dullness of the world – reminding her of what reality is.
With a spin on his heel, he faced the back of the girl, “A dreaming mind, a soul so kind – is her heart pleading to be unbound?” He said with a knowing smile, he then walks away with a skip. “We will meet an again little girl, I’ll just explore for a while.”
A day passed by with a guy walking around with a face full of smile. All have reminded him of the time where he does not know how to smile, a time where his imagination was in hiding. It was a time of calm; but not a time of peace. He stops in a place where everywhere seems to be lush green, a beauty in the eyes, a place suddenly so lively, he wonders why. “A time I thought I am living, but a dream woke me up, there is so much more than just needing. The feeling of want was so new, the feeling of wanting to fight for our right was so raw and true. We were once prisoners like you, mind if I can talk to a little girl hiding behind a shoot of bamboo?”
There was a silence in the air and slowly, a girl then emerged from the tall bamboo shoots. She stands so stiffly with her eyes peering over to the man. Her hands-on her sides, clutching tightly on her long skirt. She looks so tense that is quite a pitiful view. The man smiled gently with his hand out to offer to the girl, “Would you mind for a little sight-seeing? I have a good old tale for a story-telling, so maybe I will not have the first impression of being boring.” The girl was left to be confused, she was baffled by the man’s words – wondering if it was safe to say these things so casually. But the bottle of curiosity and wonder have been filled to the brim, a person so out of place, maybe he will be the one that will solve this case.
With shaking hands, she carefully put it on his warm hand, and with a gentle pull, he brings her to his side, “Curiosity kills the cat,” he stopped with a chuckle as he notices the sudden drop of temperature of her hand, “but satisfaction brought it back.” He continued. The girl turned her head to the man, with a frown on her lips and a questioning gaze. He waited for a word or two but not even a grunt came, a smile makes its way to his face, “A one-sided conversation I see, then I will just continue with my story.” He then lets go of her hand, turning to the wide green horizon. “Listen carefully little one, you will only hear this once.”
"Unsaid words were left to create a storm in the head. They grumble and rumble of the dark clouds are like the whimpers of the dead." A man said as he looks up to the sky with a thoughtful smile.
"The darkest times for a creative mind, the colors of the world fade as our hearts were in a bind." A light chuckle escaped as he gazed at the empty horizon. The winds blew lightly on his face making his smile widen, "But our hearts and minds are quite a fighter, they will not give up especially to those who were flaring up in anger."
Sighing as he remembers the memory he dearly holds, a soft laugh then could be heard, "The world was like a white canvas, blank and empty as we see, but full of silent screams and pleads. A canvas we painted with our own choice of colors, we thirst to share such creation of ours." Thoughts start to come knocking in his head, he turns his head to the person he is talking to, "I have a painting now I want to share. Is it safe to speak or I should beware?"
A laugh makes its way out of his lips, “Your surroundings are full of ears, are you not wondering why you and I have not yet caught and ‘magically' disappears?”, the girl slowly shook her head, her eyes focused on the man’s face, listening to every word of riddles he has said. “Your dream is quite lonely you see, I am just visiting to keep your company. Your world just needs a little more coloring, but I wonder why this lively place seems to hold something. Might if I pass you the baton of story-telling?”
The girl was quiet in her place, her head is now looking down to her feet, a soft voice then filled the air, “I was once in a place like this where I was free to shout and laugh as I please, suddenly my voice was taken away from me, I do not know where it could be. I have been searching for my voice here for a long time now. I am giving up-“ “and I disallow.” The girl looked up to see again that gentle smile, he reaches out to pat her head, “You have now found your voice, you should now rejoice. Now, I wonder what will be your choice? Good luck now little soldier, with a snap of my fingers, I will then see what will be your answer.” “Wait-“ A snap then resounded through the air, he said his goodbyes and disappears.
Suddenly rising from the comfort of her bed, she looks around to see if it is now a reality. A sigh fills up her room, a remark of determination then booms, “I will paint this world to how I see, a share of worlds will open the door of colors. Creation of worlds is in every people’s mind, looks like it is up to me to unlock such wonders behind those lock doors.”
